Elephant Footprints

The dawn awakens within me,
and the soft swirling mist
off the valley caresses my face
with soft fingers,

Elephant Footprints

The gentle early morning sunlight trickles through
the dew wet leaves of this, my tree,
and the faint call of a lion in the distance
stirs something deep inside me.

Elephant FootPrints

The gentle early morning sunlight trickles through
the dew wet leaves of this, my tree,
and the faint call of a lion in the distance
stirs something deep inside me.
Is this place of Gorah
a calling I have answered?
The Elephants here,
I feel they know my name.
Is this the path the ancient souls
have called the destiny?
Is this the voice that calls
from deep within?
These footprints
that I have followed
have led to many places,
sacred, secret and unknown.

Elephant Footprints

So many footprints walked and so many still to walk.
The whole of the world lies waiting to be explored.
As I travel onwards, in the footprints of my spiritual mentors,
I know, that no matter where I am,
I may close my eyes to find that I am always home.

Elephant Footprints

All I have searched for
and continue to search for
is not found anywhere else
or with anyone else,

And so Elephant Footprints is about my story,
my journal of all that I have learnt about the Gorah and
Addo over this past decade. It is a story of history,
of culture, of love and passion, but mostly it is a story
of growth, and of discovery. It is a constant evolution
that only has a beginning.
